Sample interview questions
In a previous data review role, I noticed that some images had mismatched labels due to a batch processing error. I documented the issue, flagged it to the team lead, and proposed a re-review process to catch similar mistakes. This improved overall data accuracy by 10%.
I create a mental checklist or quick reference based on the guidelines and refer back to it frequently. For ambiguous cases, I note them and discuss with the team to establish a precedent, ensuring uniform application.
I focus on being specific and objective, pointing out the exact issue and why it's incorrect. I also offer suggestions for improvement and encourage questions to prevent recurrence. For example, 'The golden answer for image 123 is incorrect because... Here's the correct interpretation based on the guidelines.'
I take short breaks after every hour and vary my focus by switching between different types of reviews. I also listen to background music to stay alert, and I double-check my own work periodically to catch any fatigue-related errors.
I first try to re-read the guidelines carefully. If still unclear, I escalate the case to the project team with specific questions, such as 'The image is blurry—should we accept an approximate answer or reject?' This ensures I don't make assumptions.
About the Role
We are looking for detail-oriented Quality Control (QC) Specialist to support an AI data annotation project. In this role, you will review the work submitted by Trainers — pre-seeded questions paired with images and their corresponding “golden” answers — to confirm accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project guidelines.
This is a task-based, remote-friendly opportunity ideal for individuals who are highly meticulous, observant, and skilled at spotting errors or inconsistencies that others may miss.

Review completed tasks submitted by Trainers, including the original question, the image, and the golden answer provided
Independently verify whether the golden answer is correct based on the image
Identify and flag incorrect, incomplete, ambiguous, or inconsistent answers
Provide clear, constructive feedback or corrections to help maintain overall data quality
Track recurring error patterns and report them to the project team
Ensure Trainer output meets the project’s quality bar before final sign-off
Escalate unclear cases (e.g., illegible images, ambiguous questions) to the project team for resolution
What We’re Looking For
Native/Strong proficiency at Spanish
Bachelor’s degree required
Excellent attention to detail and a strong quality mindset
Good visual observation and reading comprehension skills
Ability to apply guidelines/rubrics consistently and objectively
Strong written English communication skills, especially for giving feedback
Prior experience in quality assurance, quality control, editing, proofreading, or data review is a plus
Reliable access to a computer and internet connection
